In the early 2000s, Ider Foodland was opened on AL Highway 72 by Shan Bruce. The store is one of seven Bruce’s Foodland locations. Bruce’s Foodland Stores have been a part of North Alabama for over three decades. Shan says, “if you treat your customers with all the courtesy in the world, they will always come back to your store.”
Ider Foodland is now operated by Shan’s two sons, Michael Bruce and Eric Bruce. The boys grew up in the grocery business, and the business philosophy of their parents is carried over in the way they operate their seven stores.
In addition to great customer service, they offer USDA choice beef, pork and chicken in their full service meat department. Ider Foodland also offers the freshest fruits and vegetables in their produce department that provide the nutrients needed to help you and your family stay healthy.
